The L.L. Pelling Co. was started in 1949 with a handful of employees and has grown to 200 full-time and full-time seasonal employees. The company features three HMA (Hot-Mix Asphalt) plants in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and Marion producing the finest certified HMA and cold-mix. The desire for perfection in all projects is driven by four exceptional asphalt paving crews that are led by superintendents who average over 25 years of experience. In addition, the L.L. Pelling Co. features three grading crews, two chip-seal crews, striping division, and a portland concrete curb and flatwork crew. Fifty years of commitment to excellence and pride in workmanship has earned the L.L. Pelling Co. a reputation as one of Iowa's Premiere paving contractors.
